Key Responsibilities

  • •Own MongoDB Atlas cluster configuration and management across production, staging, and development across multiple regions on AWS and Azure.
  • •Lead schema and data model design, making embedding/referencing/denormalization/aggregation decisions across services.
  • •Own index strategy and query performance analysis, including aggregation pipeline design across collections.
  • •Evaluate database technology fit and plan relational options (e.g., Amazon RDS), then design and execute cross-database migrations with Python tooling.
  • •Manage Atlas infrastructure with Terraform (sizing, compute autoscaling, private endpoints, access control), including OIDC auth and identity federation, while monitoring performance, resolving drift, and establishing operational runbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of production MongoDB experience, including Atlas-managed clusters.
