Job Summary

Lead the Platform Thermal group at AMD, driving cross-functional platform thermal validation, power and thermal modeling, and tool development. You will coordinate with SOC architects, debug system-level thermal issues, and influence thermal strategy across multiple teams to ensure robust performance of AMD platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive technical innovation to improve AMD’s validation capabilities, including tool and script development and methodology improvements
•Debugging issues found during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
•Coordinate with multiple teams and track test execution to ensure features are validated and optimized on time
•Engage with other software/hardware modeling frameworks to broaden validation coverage
•Lead collaborative efforts across teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering
•Extensive CFD modeling experience (IcePak, Flotherm); OpenFOAM a plus
•Programming/scripting skills in C/C++, Python (and ideally Perl/Ruby)
•Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail
•Ability to lead tasks independently and drive cross-team initiatives
