Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow direction from New York brand development teams to deliver new leather developments aligned to quality, aesthetics, and price targets.
  • •Partner with material, product development, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition into bulk production.
  • •Ensure suppliers/service providers meet Tapestry quality standards for raw materials and finished goods; manage and close quality claim issues as needed.
  • •Partner with the Strategic Costing team to ensure service providers work to fair leather waste factors.
  • •Support the VP of Material Management during price negotiations and onboard new vendors as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •15 years of experience in leather sourcing, manufacturing, and product development.
  • •Expertise in leather manufacturing, ideally within the fashion industry.
  • •Proven track record managing 3rd-party relationships and improving service levels.
  • •Ability to develop and manage leather suppliers/relationship management in a culturally diverse environment.
  • •Strong analytical and project management skills to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
