Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as enterprise-wide legal subject matter expert on business credit antidiscrimination laws and guidance, including CRA, HMDA, and Section 1071.
  • •Advise Small Business and Commercial Banks, Card, and Community Finance businesses on fair lending-related business initiatives.
  • •Support Fair and Responsible Banking Compliance and Global External Affairs in implementing fair lending, CRA, and HMDA compliance management programs.
  • •Lead internal and external legal advocacy related to CRA, HMDA, and Section 1071 rulemakings.
  • •Provide supporting consumer fair lending legal counseling as needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 230,400 - 263,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •At least 8 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government agency, military judge advocate role, or in-house counsel.
  • •Thorough knowledge of ECOA, the Fair Housing Act, CRA, HMDA, and related lending regulations.
  • •Ability to prioritize and manage a significant volume of legal questions with multiple simultaneous deadlines.
