Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical design and CADD support to produce designs and specifications for utility-scale projects.
  • •Generate accurate P&C design deliverables, including drawing packages, technical memoranda, details, specifications, and material lists.
  • •Perform detailed substation design work covering protection one-line diagrams, SCADA, communications, AC/DC diagrams, wiring diagrams, and related schedules.
  • •Verify the accuracy of calculations, design deliverables, and change orders, escalating discrepancies for resolution.
  • •Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and support QA/QC for client deliverables, including occasional travel for site visits.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
  • •Knowledge of substation protection schemes/concepts and electrical utility protection standards and practices.
  • •Ability to make technical computations and calculations and interpret plans and specifications against applicable standards/regulations.
  • •Proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools, spreadsheets, and other technologies, with strong communication and analytical skills.
