Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under guidance from senior staff.
  • •Collaborate with Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop electrical engineering design schedules and budgets.
  • •Lead solar PV and BESS system design and related engineering calculations, including power distribution and utility interconnections.
  • •Develop construction and equipment specifications and support engineering development for construction drawing packages (e.g., one lines, network diagrams).
  • •Support projects through feasibility, design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning, including presenting at meetings with occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or an engineering-related discipline plus 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Demonstrated experience with solar PV and BESS system design, including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections.
  • •Preferred: Professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Preferred: Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
