Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and continuously refine Cornerstone’s core building blocks, components, patterns, and tokens for complex, workflow-heavy, AI-enabled experiences.
  • •Set multi-year design system direction and translate it into a roadmap aligned across design, engineering, and product leadership.
  • •Design, prototype, and ship production-ready components in partnership with frontend and platform engineering leadership.
  • •Define and evolve governance, contribution, and deprecation practices in an AI-native working environment while balancing system integrity with shipping speed.
  • •Bake in accessibility, responsiveness, and performance; create documentation and onboarding materials; advocate for the system and mentor others.

Key Requirements

  • •A portfolio with craft, quality, accessibility, and visual cohesion, with real point of view beyond system diagrams.
  • •10+ years in product design with meaningful ownership of a design system across a multi-product environment (brand/visual design background is a plus).
  • •Strong command of component architecture and design tokens, with experience driving total adoption across teams and surfaces.
  • •Experience working closely with frontend engineers to ship production-grade systems rather than only handing off specs.
