Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage a global patent prosecution strategy aligned with product roadmap and market indicators.
  • •Make strategic filing, continuation, abandonment, and maintenance decisions using portfolio analytics and competitive intelligence.
  • •Manage global trademark portfolio strategy, including filing, prosecution, maintenance, clearances, renewals, and opposition/cancellation proceedings.
  • •Advise on copyright ownership, registration, protection, and trade secret protection for CrowdStrike’s content assets.
  • •Evaluate and govern AI-enabled workflows across the IP function, train internal teams and outside counsel, and manage budgets and outside patent counsel.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. and active bar membership in the state where you live, with eligibility to practice as registered in-house counsel; admitted to practice before the USPTO.
  • •15+ years of relevant IP experience, including team management.
  • •Extensive experience identifying, prosecuting, and procuring patentable technologies in software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity and/or AI.
  • •Expertise managing global patent portfolios, including jurisdictional filing strategy and decisions on continuation, abandonment, and maintenance.
  • •Experience in trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, plus demonstrated AI fluency in legal/IP workflows with appropriate governance.
