Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and run production LLM applications end to end, including retrieval logic, prompt design, orchestration, and supporting APIs.
  • •Design and implement RAG solutions (chunking/embedding strategy, vector indexing, and retrieval filtering with enforced user entitlements).
  • •Define and maintain evaluation frameworks for answer quality, baselines, and post-change re-evaluation for prompts/models/documents.
  • •Take experimental AI solutions from data scientists into production with code review, refactoring for modularity, dependency handling, and reproducibility.
  • •Own model and prompt lifecycles in MLflow (tracking, registry, versioning, promotion, rollback) and deploy/monitor AI services on Azure and OpenShift with CI/CD and observability.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience developing, deploying, and operating machine learning and AI solutions in production environments (not proof of concept).
  • •Hands-on experience building LLM applications including RAG in Python (e.g., with LangChain), including diagnosing why RAG underperforms.
  • •Practical experience with vector databases and embeddings (e.g., Qdrant or Azure AI Search) and evaluating retrieval quality.
  • •Experience monitoring live AI services for answer quality, drift, latency, and cost, including tracing inference cost increases to prompt/model changes.
  • •Proven knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift and containerised deployment with CI/CD in GitLab, plus monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
