Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with compute leadership to define and operationalize OpenAI’s long-term compute strategy across infrastructure providers, cloud partners, suppliers, and internal organizations.
  • •Synthesize compute requirements, supply constraints, demand forecasts, and strategic priorities to inform long-range planning and investment decisions.
  • •Design cross-functional planning mechanisms and establish leadership operating rhythms, initiative tracking, and executive communications for Industrial Compute.
  • •Develop metrics, KPIs, analytical frameworks, and governance/decision-making mechanisms to improve visibility, clarity, accountability, and execution speed.
  • •Lead cross-functional strategic execution and shape strategic partnerships and commercial transactions, including evaluating build-versus-buy decisions and major compute investments.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 225,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in strategy, strategic operations, business operations, management consulting, corporate development, or infrastructure strategy, ideally in technology or infrastructure-intensive organizations.
  • •Experience as a senior individual contributor on complex, company-level initiatives with high ambiguity, executive visibility, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • •Strong understanding of cloud, compute infrastructure, data centers, AI infrastructure, or similarly large-scale technology ecosystems and their commercial dynamics.
  • •Ability to develop long-range strategies connecting market dynamics, technical constraints, financial considerations, and organizational capabilities.
  • •Strong commercial judgment and experience evaluating partnerships, vendor relationships, pricing structures, capacity commitments, investments, and other strategic transactions.
