Evaluate, manage, and scale credit risk across Adyen’s financial products. Key Responsibilities

•Perform credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring for Adyen’s financial products, including loans to SMBs and credit products for enterprise customers.
•Analyze how business models, industries, and macro-economic developments impact credit portfolios and the credit risk offering.
•Develop and implement credit risk strategies to improve portfolio performance while aligning with risk appetite and business objectives.
•Drive continuous improvement of global and US-specific underwriting and monitoring frameworks, including policies and practices.
•Provide credit risk expertise for new commercial product developments and identify underwriting and decisioning steps suitable for AI-driven automation with governance and auditability.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, ideally in banking, fintech, or SMEs credit lending environments.
•Strong analytical skills to interpret financial statements and assess borrower quality, risk drivers, trends, and early-warning indicators.
•Proven experience managing and assessing credit portfolios across products such as SMB lending, working capital solutions, overdrafts, charge cards, and/or asset-backed financing.
•Experience operating in high-volume, scalable credit environments, with exposure to payments, automation, and data-driven decisioning frameworks.
•Ability to balance risk and return and apply sound judgment to make credit decisions aligned with defined risk appetite and business objectives.
