Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with firmware architects and validation teams to define platform-level firmware test strategies and coverage goals.
  • •Review verification criteria and prior generation test plans to scope, define, and develop test cases for next-gen products across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • •Implement end-to-end test flows validating firmware functionality across boot and runtime, producing repeatable triage artifacts (e.g., logs, register dumps, SOL captures).
  • •Help generate requirements that enhance simulation platforms so post-silicon tests can be exercised pre-silicon.
  • •Execute tests, debug failures, and collaborate with firmware developers to drive timely defect resolution; improve test infrastructure and reporting/triage workflows.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 173,600 - 297,600 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, LLM-based coding assistants) to improve test automation, productivity, and debug workflows.
  • •Strong foundation in computer architecture and enterprise server platform features, with hands-on experience in SoC validation or system-level bring-up and low-level debugging.
  • •Practical ability to write test code and tools in C and/or C++ and script in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • •Proven ability to scope pre-silicon tests and collaborate with simulation/emulation teams to make virtual platforms effective for system-level validation (Simics or similar is a plus).
  • •Relevant experience developing firmware/software validation or test development, plus strong communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
