Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor, investigate, and respond to alerts generated by Sophos security capabilities, using approved playbooks and tooling.
  • •Conduct end-to-end analysis of suspicious activity to assess scope, impact, and risk, including threat hunting across the MDR customer base.
  • •Investigate phishing emails, suspicious binaries, and behavioral anomalies; identify and respond to cyber threats.
  • •Document investigative steps and outcomes in the MDR case management platform and manage case workflows from creation through resolution.
  • •Support detection tuning by identifying recurring false positives and contribute to improving security operations processes, playbooks, and tooling feedback.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 86,000 - 143,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Managed Detection and Response (MDR) environment, or a cybersecurity-focused IT role.
  • •Proficiency using endpoint and network security tools (e.g., EDR, IDS/IPS, malware detection platforms) to validate and triage complex alerts.
  • •Working knowledge of Windows (workstation and server), plus experience with Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat) or macOS environments.
  • •Demonstrated experience contributing to real-time incident response and threat investigations, including containment, mitigation, and recovery.
  • •Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
