Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate indoor PV characterization tools and support laboratory experiment monitoring, including making and recording observations.
  • •Support outdoor PV system installation, instrumentation, and maintenance.
  • •Work across both laboratory and outdoor settings and maintain experimental data collection and storage.
  • •Support documentation efforts by preparing information for scientific and engineering reports and publications.
  • •Assist with experiment setup and conduct tasks requiring lifting and manual positioning of test devices onto characterization tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate's degree in electronics, electro-mechanical technologies, engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •Ability to work in a laboratory setting, including test setup, equipment operation, and data collection and storage.
  • •Experience with mechanical assembly and common hand tools.
  • •Experience with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), laboratory instrumentation, and basic laboratory data management.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.
