Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely transport bulk scrap commodities by operating various size construction trucks (up to ~100 tons) to/from marine docks, storage yards, receiving bins, and other locations.
  • •Comply with vehicle operating policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safe, efficient work.
  • •Perform routine vehicle inspections before operation and report or address maintenance needs.
  • •Perform approved maintenance, fueling, and lubrication as required.
  • •Follow proper procedures for loading, traveling, dumping, and startup/shut down/lockout; keep the vehicle clean and in working order at shift end; respond to customer service/material/support requests.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduation certificate or equivalent is desired but not required.
  • •Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • •Maintain a valid driver’s license and demonstrate thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • •Operate and maintain equipment safely at all times.
  • •Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and be available for all shifts and weekends in all weather conditions.
