Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow company and site-specific safety rules, maintain behaviour-based safety essentials, and adhere to Life Saving Rules and safety alerts.
  • •Strictly follow LOTO procedures.
  • •Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications; plan work tasks and sequences and select proper tools, materials, and equipment.
  • •Install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical conduit and wiring, including splicing, connecting to lighting and power equipment, installing control and distribution apparatus, and connecting grounding lead.
  • •Test continuity of circuits, troubleshoot and adjust equipment/system issues, and disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of a 4 Period Apprenticeship, followed by Journeyperson Certification, or a valid Journeyperson Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • •Experience in industrial electrical installation, construction, maintenance, fabrication, and/or repair.
  • •Demonstrated competence in the trade, including knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications and codes, electrical tools, installing electrical equipment, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • •Fall Arrest Certificate required when working at heights.
  • •Must hold required offshore certificates/training such as BST (including HUET and HUEBA); additional assets include Rigging/Slinging/Banksman and H2S Alive.
