Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with silicon design, product & test, and packaging teams to architect and define test solutions for silicon photonics at wafer-sort, die-level, and packaged levels
  • •Collaborate with design, packaging, and key suppliers to understand structural and parametric mechanisms for performance, yield, reliability and quality issues
  • •Interface with suppliers to provide technical inputs and test requirements to enable production-worthy end-to-end solutions
  • •Train other teams and engineers in the field of silicon photonics from design, packaging, to volume test
  • •Develop test fixtures and automation software in collaboration with Hardware, PCB, and Firmware engineers

Key Requirements

  • •MS or PhD in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Optics & Photonics Engineering, or comparable disciplines
  • •Proven experience in optical interconnects and silicon photonics
  • •Experience with test automation tools such as PyVISA or MATLAB
  • •Hands-on experience with high-speed test equipment (BER testers, real-time oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers) and optical test equipment (OSA, OTDR, optical spectrum analyzers)
  • •Strong communication and ability to train/lead other engineers
