Job Summary

Develop and define structural design solutions for airframe components and assemblies for airframe derivatives programs in Airbus Defence and Space’s Military Derivatives team. Create design principles and detailed definitions for interfaces, materials, and manufacturing processes, support an end-to-end aircraft design lifecycle, and coordinate with engineering offices and external subcontractors. Use modern design tools such as CATIA V5 and CSG Full3D to support stakeholders across product lifecycle activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Concept, define, and develop structural design for airframe components, assemblies, installations, and design solutions for airframe derivatives programs using modern methods and tools.
•Establish design principles and detailed definition of key characteristics, interfaces, materials, and manufacturing processes, collaborating with industrial and production teams.
•Support the complete aircraft product lifecycle in an end-to-end design process using modern software or applications.
•Work closely with other engineering design offices (e.g., stress, analysis, loads, systems installation, armament, materials/processes, aerodynamic, configuration design) to manage design interfaces.
•Provide technical support to stakeholders such as supply chain, quality, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production/assembly, M&P, Chief Engineer, Architecture & Integration, and Airworthiness & Certification.

Key Requirements

•Experience in metallic and composites technologies and materials applied to airframe structural design (e.g., empennage, fuselage, wing, doors, mechanisms, military systems).
•Ability to design structures of components and assemblies.
•Good level of structural design including pre-sizing knowledge and configuration management.
•Ability to manage and coordinate internal people and external subcontracting companies.
•Good English level; Spanish and French would be plus.
