Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments and road tests.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders documentation, and communicate with management/support to obtain approvals and PO numbers as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination).
  • •Supply the hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with >4 months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
