Job Summary

Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to lift and move materials, machines, and products in a scrap yard while following all Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. Maintain safe, efficient plant operations through cleaning support, yard/facility cleanup, and basic sorting of scrap. Complete required equipment paperwork, report malfunctions, and assist with special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to lift and move materials, machines, and products safely and efficiently.
•Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and wear all required PPE.
•Assist with cleaning and related duties to maintain plant operations, including yard/facility cleanup and maintenance.
•Complete paperwork for forklift/skid steer and lifting accessories, and report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions.
•Perform basic sorting of scrap and metals/debris in preparation for processing, and assist with special projects as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must hold valid Forklift and/or Skid Steer Certification, if required in the state or province of application.
•Experience operating equipment in an industrial setting to move product and/or material.

•Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
•Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
