Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and improve high-fidelity spatial audio pipelines for DNN training and evaluation using simulated room acoustics, multichannel rendering, spatial audio, audio signal processing, data engineering, and deep learning.
  • •Create tools and analyses to validate realistic spatial audio scenes and evaluate how spatial training data affects model behavior in complex everyday acoustic environments.
  • •Work closely with deep learning engineers to keep training data diverse, physically plausible, perceptually meaningful, and aligned with the DNN models.
  • •Contribute to hearing-aid algorithms that use subtle spatial cues from multiple microphones to separate speech from noise and improve communication in demanding real-world environments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in audio processing with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • •Expertise in spatial audio (e.g., ambisonics, HRTFs, room simulation, binaural rendering, or other spatialization techniques).
  • •Practical knowledge of room-acoustic measures (e.g., RT60, DRR, early reflections, late reverberation, clarity, diffuseness).
  • •Strong foundations in audio digital signal processing (DSP).
  • •Strong Python proficiency and experience with deep learning concepts such as training data, loss functions, and model evaluation.
