Support TikTok Shop’s rapidly growing e-commerce teams by advising on product, feature, and initiative rollouts from a US legal risk perspective. Partner with global product, product operations, public policy, and communications stakeholders to coordinate legal reviews, analyze legal risks, and help improve internal policies and compliance guidance. Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Provide legal risk mitigation strategies to ensure TikTok Shop legal compliance for US-related product, feature, and initiative launches.
•Coordinate with product, product operations, public policy, communications, and other cross-functional teams to support e-commerce initiatives.
•Conduct legal review to contribute to continuous improvement of TikTok Shop initiatives and relevant legal frameworks guidance.
•Review and analyze potential legal risks tied to new product developments and business strategies.
•Assist in developing internal policies and procedures to support legal compliance and provide support on e-commerce related matters.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree plus a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and a U.S. state bar member in good standing.
•Experience in private practice or in-house roles providing product counseling for a technology company or application.
•Experience working with international teams across time zones in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
•Excellent, concise written and verbal communication skills.
•Preferred: legal advice experience for online platforms or e-commerce and familiarity with US consumer protection laws for online marketplaces.
