Job Summary

Support an AI Data and Safety team that advances foundation models and improves AI-native applications. As a project intern, you’ll collaborate with PM leads, researchers, and global data vendors to analyze model “bad cases,” translate feedback and benchmark results into data requirements, and help automate data production and QC using LLMs. You’ll also assist with data strategy, vendor task specs, and cross-border alignment to accelerate model iteration.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze model training goals and investigate user behavior and “Bad Cases” to identify weaknesses and propose data-driven improvements.
•Assist with data strategy and sourcing, including defining data construction strategies and tracking market trends to keep datasets competitive.
•Manage progress with global data labeling vendors by defining task specs, monitoring throughput, and ensuring high-quality delivery under tight deadlines.
•Leverage LLMs to build automated data production and quality check (QC) systems, scaling data output without sacrificing quality.
•Collaborate cross-border by coordinating with a CN-based research team and overseas vendors to align on data standards.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
•Proficient in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation and automation, including prompt engineering for LLMs to generate/evaluate synthetic data.
•Solid understanding of LLM/VLM architectures and staying current with research papers and product releases.
•Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn vague model errors into concrete data requirements.
•Fluent in English and Mandarin; Mandarin proficiency is required for reviewing technical documents.
