Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and execute marine ecology baseline surveys for intertidal and subtidal environments, including key species groups.
  • •Prepare EIA chapters (biodiversity baseline, impact assessment, significance evaluation) and EMMPs for coastal and marine development projects.
  • •Develop mitigation and offsetting measures following the mitigation hierarchy and contribute to nature-based solutions concepting and feasibility.
  • •Analyze ecological data and support emerging nature-tech approaches, using tools like ArcGIS/QGIS, Excel, and R/Python.
  • •Coordinate field work and project activities: plan scope/budgets/schedules, manage field teams/sub-consultants, and support HSE and stakeholder permitting activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in marine biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • •2–6 years of experience in marine ecology and biodiversity for infrastructure/coastal projects.
  • •Proficiency with belt/quadrat transects, photo/video transects, UVC, BRUVS, settlement tiles, eDNA/biomonitoring, benthic cover, and coral health indices.
  • •Working knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS, solid Excel, and working knowledge of R (or Python) for ecological data analysis.
  • •Knowledge and identification skills for marine species found in Southeast Asia; scientific diving experience is strongly preferred.
