Job Summary

Support the industrialization and production ramp of power electronics by developing and standardizing assembly, test, and manufacturing processes for inverters, transformers, and switchgears. Serve as the main manufacturing engineering interface between internal teams and contract manufacturers, driving safety, quality, throughput, traceability, and repeatability. Lead cost-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives, including Lean practices, DFMEA/PFMEA reviews, and capacity/KPI planning across CM facilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering interface for contract manufacturers and suppliers supporting production.
•Drive manufacturing readiness and operational execution at CM sites for power electronics assembly/testing, subassembly and main assembly, and final integration/test.
•Ensure CM processes meet standards for safety, quality, throughput, traceability, and process repeatability, including on-site support and audits.
•Lead cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency initiatives (labor content, cycle time, material waste, rework/scrap, floor space, tooling/fixtures) using Lean principles and DFM/DFM collaboration.
•Develop and standardize manufacturing/test processes, set manufacturing KPIs and controls, perform capacity and line balancing, and implement standardized reporting across CM partners.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
•Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
•5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in power electronics, industrial equipment, renewable energy, high-power electrical systems, automotive, or related industries.
•Experience supporting complex electromechanical assembly and test operations.
•Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and process improvement methods.
