Key Responsibilities

  • •Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for manuals, procedures, and specifications.
  • •Ensures documentation is accurate, complete, and meets editorial and government specifications for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
  • •Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for text and illustrations.
  • •Retrieves, organizes, analyzes, and synthesizes subject matter into clear, easy-to-understand information.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or Engineering (with Technical Writing and/or Integrated Logistics Support experience).
  • •7 years of technical writing experience.
  • •Ability to collect, research, organize, and synthesize material from inspection of systems, engineering documentation, and oral discussions with personnel responsible for trainer systems.
  • •Ability to understand and follow contractual requirements and work with stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements when ambiguous.
  • •High proficiency using MS Office, Visio, HTML documentation, XML (Arbortext or Oxygen), and Adobe Acrobat.
