Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and challenge design-stage risk management information.
  • •Work with designers to develop hazard-mitigation strategies and apply CDM principles to complex project scenarios.
  • •Gather information to inform risk profiles and compliance plans (PCI, HSF, or BSA).
  • •Advise clients and stakeholders on legal responsibilities under CDM and potentially support Building regs compliance as Principal Designer.
  • •Compile compliance reports, registers, and documentation and deliver your own project deliverables in line with commercial proposals.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record as a Safety in Design or CDM professional, with practical knowledge of CDM 2015 and experience of BSA 2022.
  • •Strong commitment to improving health and safety performance and compliance across construction projects.
  • •Experience in transportation, utilities, engineering, operations, risk management, or related disciplines with understanding of design process and risk profiles.
  • •Degree (or equivalent) in safety, engineering, construction, transportation, or a related field, or an equivalent technical qualification (BTEC, HNC/HND) with strong practical experience.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence to speak in professional and client meetings.
