Key Responsibilities

  • •Build a healthy, high-trust team culture and run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for direct reports.
  • •Own the hiring plan for your team as Hiring Manager, partnering with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close candidates.
  • •Drive the team’s roadmap and project management in Linear, including workflow intake, Slack triage, and prioritization.
  • •Organize effort against support tickets, maintain the team’s SLO, and surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early.
  • •Train as an Incident Commander, coordinating resolution and leading blameless post-incident reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of engineering background with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
  • •3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
  • •Managed engineering teams at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company; developer tools/databases experience is strongly preferred.
  • •Managed remote, globally distributed teams working asynchronously across time zones.
  • •Comfort with ambiguity: build structure where there isn’t much, and communicate clearly in writing while surfacing risks early.
