Job Summary

Serve as a remote Field Sales Representative for the Nelson Stud Welding Sales team, covering Washington and Alaska with ~30% travel. Build rapport with current and future customers, establish new accounts, and provide technical and engineering support. Prepare cost estimates from plans/blueprints, consult with engineers and architects, and drive customer acceptance through cost and operational improvements while submitting orders and sales engineering reports.

•Identify customer service requirements and build rapport with current and future customers.
•Establish and service new accounts by planning and organizing sales calls.
•Provide technical and engineering information, including responding to questions and requests.
•Prepare cost estimates from blueprints and customer documents, and analyze cost-benefit improvements for applications in customer environments.
•Submit orders with technical support and Inside Sales/Customer Service, and prepare sales engineering reports using collected and summarized data and trends.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Basic troubleshooting skills and general knowledge of basic hand tools.
•Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to perform minor mechanical and light electrical repairs at customer locations.
•Service-based selling experience with excellent sales, customer support, and communication skills.
•Ability to travel throughout the territory in WA and AK and live within the territory.
•Experience in the construction industry and working with shipyards is an advantage.
