Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost models, and joint design development via statements of work.
  • •Develop and consolidate the manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage NPI CAPEX and perform value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve, complete BOM risk assessments (including alternate sourcing), and address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Huntsville, AL if not already local.
