Job Summary

Lead transportation engineering efforts for local, state, and regional clients within the Pacific Mountain West Traffic & Transportation team. Develop traffic and transit solutions using analysis, modeling, and simulation to improve safety, access, and mobility, including travel demand forecasting and traffic operations studies. Oversee project tasks and cross-functional teams, manage scope/schedule/budget, and produce technical reports and presentations while staying current on traffic engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop transportation solutions with district traffic, transit, and planning teams.
•Conduct traffic operations analyses and travel demand forecasting, using modeling and simulation techniques.
•Manage project tasks by monitoring scope, schedule, and budget, and supporting overall project delivery.
•Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute project work on small and mid-level projects, including tracking hours/expenses and supporting technical deliverables and documentation.
•Develop and design intersection and corridor improvement concepts and prepare technical reports/presentations for communities, public agencies, and decision-makers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering with prior traffic design experience.
•Engineer license required.
•Strong proficiency in traffic engineering principles, practices, and capacity/operational analysis.
•Experience performing planning, inspections, and investigations for transportation corridor construction and design, applying applicable regulations and policies.
