Job Summary

Support coastal and marine engineering studies and numerical modelling for infrastructure projects, including metocean data collection, hydrodynamic and wave modelling, shoreline evolution, sediment transport, flushing, and beach response analysis. Assist with the design and review of coastal structures such as shoreline protection systems, submerged outfalls, dredging and reclamation works, quay walls, marinas, and ports. Prepare technical and tender documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Support senior engineers with coastal engineering studies, numerical modelling tasks, and technical assessments for marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
•Perform metocean/environmental data collection, processing, and analysis using engineering tools and programming applications.
•Carry out hydrodynamic, wave propagation, shoreline evolution, sediment transport, flushing, and beach response modelling using MIKE 21, MIKE-FM, Delft3D, and SBEACH.
•Assist in the design and review of coastal and marine structures including shoreline protection systems, submerged outfalls, dredging and reclamation works, and quay walls.
•Assist in preparing technical reports, engineering calculations/drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, presentations, and tender documentation; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
•Practical experience in coastal engineering studies, numerical modelling, and coastal/marine infrastructure projects.
•Exposure to hydrodynamic modelling, wave propagation, shoreline evolution, sediment transport, dredging and reclamation, and coastal protection systems.
•Hands-on experience with coastal processes such as sediment transport, shoreline evolution, beach response modelling, and flushing studies.
•Working knowledge of coastal numerical modelling software; MIKE 21, MIKE-FM, Delft3D, and SBEACH are desirable.
