Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth of service members, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support CYB environments by partnering with CDCs, DoDEA and community schools, youth programs, and summer camps, and delivering parent training and guidance when assigned.
  • •Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and other installation activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application, ensuring reporting accuracy and confidentiality/anonymity of service/family members.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure services are within scope and meet installation needs; participate in supervision and respond to critical incidents/special requests as directed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold an independent clinical license in any state (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and meet state/customer requirements to practice.
  • •Master’s degree from an accredited program in a mental health related field or social work.
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and must be fluent in English.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •With short notice, be willing to accept undefined assignments (including weekends) and, for CYB roles, meet Magellan MFLC CYB criteria (child and adolescent development/psychology experience).
