Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and lead the Guidance & Control team, including hiring plan and raising the technical bar.
  • •Define and own the module roadmap: scope, milestones, priorities, trade-offs, and delivery accountability.
  • •Set how guidance is designed and verified, including motion planning, trajectory generation, guidance laws, and flight mode/failsafe behavior.
  • •Define how control is designed, tuned, and verified across the airframe family, from inner loops to outer position loops.
  • •Own interfaces and requirements with adjacent modules and verify the work in flight with flight test campaigns and log-driven diagnosis.

Key Requirements

  • •MSc or PhD in aerospace, controls, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practice.
  • •Shipped guidance or control software on real vehicles (multirotor or fixed wing) and can challenge design reviews and read flight logs.
  • •Built or led an engineering team, hiring and growing engineers, and owned a module or programme against a hard external deadline.
  • •Rigorous, hardware-honest approach; sceptical of results that only exist in simulation.
  • •Based in or willing to relocate to Lausanne, Paris, or Zurich, with fluency in English required (French a plus).
