Key Responsibilities

•Execute and deliver engineering design for HV/EHV overhead transmission lines (132kV–765kV+), supporting projects from feasibility and concept development through detailed design and/or construction support.
•Develop key deliverables including route alignments, tower spotting, conductor/earth wire selection, and insulator configurations, defining clearances and right-of-way requirements per applicable standards.
•Perform and coordinate electrical and mechanical studies such as ampacity/corona/radio interference, electric field and line impedance analysis, and sag–tension and loading case calculations (wind/ice/temperature).
•Provide structural interface support by coordinating tower loading trees, load combinations, and inputs for tower and foundation design with structural teams.
•Lead/coordinate PLS-CADD modeling and transmission line layout development for complex projects, guide CAD designers/drafters, and review/validate drawing quality, consistency, and compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical) with 6+ years delivering HV (132kV+) overhead transmission line design and delivery.
•Proven experience on HV/EHV transmission line projects (132kV–765kV+).
•Experience delivering engineering design packages across multiple project phases.
•Strong knowledge of transmission line electrical principles, mechanical behavior, clearance/right-of-way requirements, and transmission line routing/tower spotting.
•Advanced experience with PLS-CADD/PLS-TOWER/PLS-POLE and ETAP/ATPDraw, plus strong capability performing sag–tension and transmission line design calculations.
