Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and safety regulations, transporting loads safely and on time.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload equipment and materials using specialized equipment as warranted, including arranging trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service tasks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license as appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, including a 10-panel drug screen (safety sensitive position).
  • •Pass a DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment, lift and move up to 40 pounds, and travel frequently.
