Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess, reassess, and collect pertinent patient data; analyze information to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • •Create, evaluate, and implement patient care plans with the interprofessional team, collaborating with patients and bystanders.
  • •Record vital signs, recognize and address abnormalities, and escalate issues to medical staff as required.
  • •Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects/reactions, and provide wound care management.
  • •Assist in ophthalmic procedures and prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and emergency surgeries, while maintaining equipment in good working order.

Key Requirements

  • •Be responsible for providing and coordinating patient care in the outpatient department setting.
  • •Hold an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
  • •Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
  • •Be willing to work across departments and on call when necessary.
  • •Maintain own professional re-licensure and comply with the unit scope of service and evidence-based practice requirements.
