Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs to perform routine production operations
  • •Use operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for machining operations
  • •Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments and obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts
  • •Perform total preventive maintenance (TPM) to maintain machines
  • •Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist with part process development
