Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to project architectural/technological principles and tailor algorithm engineering processes to meet project needs without sacrificing best practice.
  • •Lead algorithm engineering team execution, optimizing quality, cost, and schedule for allocated work packages.
  • •Monitor work package progress, implement corrective actions, and lead identification and resolution of engineering execution issues with relevant teams.
  • •Formulate technical approach with the PEM and Software Team Lead and define/maintain elements of the project’s algorithm engineering plans.
  • •Handle personnel actions including performance reviews, salary recommendations, and coordinating training and development.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience developing and sustaining algorithm products using algorithm engineering technologies.
  • •Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Flight Dynamics modelling, and associated Autocoding practices.
  • •Strong understanding of the engineering development lifecycle across multiple phases.
  • •Experience selecting and implementing engineering tools, infrastructure, and processes to ensure technical integrity and quality.
  • •Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Software, Mechatronics or related STEM field and eligibility to hold or obtain NV1 Defence security clearance.
