Key Responsibilities

  • •Research and explain use cases and technical concepts, including how PostHog features work in practice.
  • •Write technical content such as use-case guides, tutorials, and engineering explainers that help developers and agents use PostHog better.
  • •Decide what to write based on product priorities and what’s interesting to the team, rather than following a fixed queue.
  • •Choose appropriate content formats (engineering blog, SEO explainer, or social thread) for each idea.
  • •Work with engineers and other marketers to capture the story behind what was built and why it matters, and edit their drafts when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong writing craft: turn complicated technical topics into clear, useful, enjoyable content.
  • •Experience writing technical content for a developer audience (e.g., explainers, engineering posts, tutorials).
  • •Ability to research and learn technical concepts (logs and traces, data warehouses, APIs, LLMs, agents) and explain them accurately.
  • •Good taste: create content that genuinely teaches, not content written just to rank for keywords.
  • •Portfolio demonstrating independence and impact (e.g., shipped work across styles like SEO blogs and X threads).
