Key Responsibilities

  • •Support electrical engineering design consultancy on transmission & distribution projects from concept to implementation
  • •Contribute to HV power systems analysis, cabling, substations and transmission infrastructure design
  • •Assist with system balancing, protection systems, SCADA and interconnectors including offshore links
  • •Collaborate with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors to capture feedback and communicate technical decisions
  • •Apply BS and Eurocodes standards to engineering designs and contribute to project approvals and compliance

Key Requirements

  • •An electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification such as an HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
  • •Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors, both verbally and in writing
  • •Have transferable skills suitable for engaging with a variety of people and capturing feedback
