Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as forester/forest ecologist on multiple projects across states.
  • •Lead/organize forestry and ecology field data collection and prepare related reports.
  • •Advise team on forest planning and impact analysis for US Forest Service and other federal agencies.
  • •Grow vegetation modeling capability (Forest Vegetation Simulation - FVS) and other statistical analyses.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead GIS data generation/management for federal/state clients.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related life sciences field.
  • •10+ years of experience as Forester/Forest ecologist, with at least 5 years on federal lands
  • •US Forest Service experience
  • •Experience conducting NEPA/CEQA/other analyses and preparing associated documentation
  • •Strong self-leadership, interpersonal communication, and QA/QC abilities
