Key Responsibilities

•Serve as forester/forest ecologist on multiple projects across states.
•Lead/organize forestry and ecology field data collection and prepare related reports.
•Advise team on forest planning and impact analysis for US Forest Service and other federal agencies.
•Grow vegetation modeling capability (Forest Vegetation Simulation - FVS) and other statistical analyses.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead GIS data generation/management for federal/state clients.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related life sciences field.
•10+ years of experience as Forester/Forest ecologist, with at least 5 years on federal lands
•US Forest Service experience
•Experience conducting NEPA/CEQA/other analyses and preparing associated documentation
•Strong self-leadership, interpersonal communication, and QA/QC abilities
