Job Summary

Design and develop optomechanical and high-precision mechanisms for optical and electron microscopy inspection tools used in semiconductor wafer fabrication. Lead mechanical design of structural elements, pneumatics/vacuum/filtration/cooling systems, execute experiments, and run CAE simulations for validation and troubleshooting. Author drawings and define fabrication materials/finishing with detailed GD&T and tolerance analysis, presenting design reviews and collaborating across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform mechanical design of structural elements, optomechanical systems and calibrations, high-precision mechanisms, and clean-room systems (pneumatics, vacuum, filtration, cooling).
•Design and execute experiments.
•Perform CAE simulations and analysis to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.
•Author drawings and define fabrication process, materials, finishing standards, and tolerance analysis using detailed GD&T.
•Lead mechanical aspects of the development process, present design reviews, and collaborate across optics, physics, control, electronics, software, and other teams.

•Willingness to learn and explore new topics.
•Highly proficient in CAD software, with experience using CAE software and skills in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
