Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform mechanical design of structural elements, optomechanical systems and calibrations, high-precision mechanisms, and clean-room systems (pneumatics, vacuum, filtration, cooling).
  • •Design and execute experiments.
  • •Perform CAE simulations and analysis to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.
  • •Author drawings and define fabrication process, materials, finishing standards, and tolerance analysis using detailed GD&T.
  • •Lead mechanical aspects of the development process, present design reviews, and collaborate across optics, physics, control, electronics, software, and other teams.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with general mechanical engineering analysis knowledge.
  • •Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with new problems and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • •Willingness to learn and explore new topics.
  • •Highly proficient in CAD software, with experience using CAE software and skills in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
