Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of the wind plant, including budget/compliance and outage coordination with interconnect and trading stakeholders.
  • •Ensure strict management and compliance with environmental, health, and safety programs; provide safety training and conduct safety assessments.
  • •Negotiate and administer 3rd-party contracts and administer warranties; manage capital improvement programs and retrofits.
  • •Oversee crews performing operations, maintenance, and warranty activities for wind plant equipment and ensure compliance with manufacturers’ requirements.
  • •Prepare annual budgets and monthly profit and loss reporting; review root cause analyses and prepare performance evaluations while ensuring internal controls are followed.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year college degree or technical school certificate, or 5 years of related experience or power industry training (or equivalent).
  • •Demonstrated experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
  • •Ability to climb 80 meter steel towers daily to perform maintenance, with a weight limit of 285 lbs (excluding equipment/gear).
  • •Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, and management/reporting systems (including computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to work around low and medium voltage in adverse weather conditions.
