Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze current equipment and design/develop instrumentation to meet performance and improvement needs.
  • •Collaborate with other engineers to develop accurate, efficient equipment and instrumentation aligned with safety, usability, and client expectations.
  • •Design and test prototypes, including PCBA and electrical system components with hands-on testing and rework.
  • •Create schematics and simulated models to validate designs and modify them to meet specifications and budget requirements.
  • •Act as project engineer for design, prototype fabrication, and manufacturing development, including overseeing technicians during instrumentation installation and rocket motor testing/development.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 15 years’ experience designing, developing, and installing sensors for system performance data collection.
  • •Experience with NI Labview or NI DAQmx (or other COTS data acquisition systems).
  • •Strong understanding of signal conditioning for data acquisition, including analog circuit design and analog-to-digital conversion.
  • •Ability to develop computer applications for computer-controlled data acquisition and to select sensor placement for required performance metrics.
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
