Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the material development-to-bulk production process in coordination with overseas headquarters and other sourcing teams.
  • •Ensure development activities (lab dips, strike offs, salesman samples) follow the calendar with relevant stakeholders.
  • •Provide knowledge and guidance on materials to business teams.
  • •Coordinate with offshore vendors and suppliers for fabric/trim development follow-up, including required testing, and proactively address potential quality issues.
  • •Perform cost analysis and price negotiation, prepare supplier performance reports, and collect supplier documentation (e.g., sample invoices, GRS certification) for seasonal reporting and process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3 years of experience handling fabric and/or trim materials (woven & knit), preferably in textiles/fashion/consumer goods.
  • •Ability to review product and suggest alternative options for costing and technical purposes.
  • •Strong communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
  • •Intermediate-advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables).
  • •Experience managing relationships with suppliers and internal business partners, including working with offshore vendors and following up on development and testing.
