Job Summary

Maintain clients’ firewall infrastructures as a Security Managed Services Engineer (L1), ensuring SLAs are met with zero missed conditions. Monitor client environments for incidents and errors, triage standard and low-complexity service requests, and provide phone/ITSM/chat support with thorough resolutions. Schedule patching and configuration changes, follow shift handover procedures, update knowledge articles, and contribute to automation and disaster recovery testing when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain clients’ firewall infrastructures and ensure SLAs are met with zero missed conditions.
•Monitor client infrastructure and solutions, identifying and investigating problems before or as they occur.
•Handle front-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents and service requests via telephony, ITSM tickets, or chat.
•Schedule and execute maintenance activities such as patching and configuration changes to optimize workflows.
•Follow handover procedures for shift changes and update or create knowledge articles; contribute to automation and disaster recovery functions/tests.

Key Requirements

•Entry-level experience troubleshooting and supporting security, network, data centre, systems, or storage administration/monitoring services in a medium to large ICT organization.
•Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
•Skills in active listening and information gathering (paraphrasing, probing, and avoiding interruptions).
•Discipline in managing tickets day to day, acting promptly according to defined SOPs.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
