Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare foundation, steel structure, and concrete structure designs and calculations in compliance with industry standards for mining infrastructure projects.
  • •Perform structural analysis and member selection based on loads, forces, and service demands, including shallow/deep foundations, concrete piles, vaults/tunnels, and slab reinforcement.
  • •Design structural solutions for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects, including steel structures (trusses, bents, support towers) and structural connections considering field interferences.
  • •Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and prepare civil/structural drawings, specifications, and design calculations.
  • •Verify field conditions and constructability, assist during construction problem resolution, redline CAD drawings, review updated submittals, and provide regular progress/status updates.

Key Requirements

  • •8-12 years of experience in structures engineering in an EPCM consulting firm environment (O & G, power, chemical processing, or mining processing is preferred).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a preferred master’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
  • •Solid understanding of Australian Standards (AS) and international codes, with experience interpreting multiple structural building design codes.
  • •Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Space Gass, STAAD Pro, SACS, Tekla, E3D, or S3D.
  • •Strong communication skills in English and a valid passport.
