Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare designs and deliverables for primary electrical systems for transmission and distribution projects, including AIS/GIS substation configurations up to 800kV.
  • •Develop substation and transmission design documentation such as single-line diagrams, general arrangement layouts, equipment sizing and layouts, and electrical interconnection/termination diagrams.
  • •Conduct short-circuit force calculations, busbar sizing, fault current analysis, and primary protection design to ensure stability under fault conditions.
  • •Design earthing, grounding, and lightning protection systems for substations.
  • •Develop equipment specification documents and BOMs, and provide procurement support while coordinating with civil teams and external vendors/contractors for design integration.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in the relevant field.
  • •Experience in HV Plant Design for large EHV grid substations is mandatory.
  • •10+ years of work experience (preferred) and prior experience leading large design engineering teams for grid substation design (preferred).
  • •Strong communication skills in English (oral and written) are mandatory.
