Job Summary

Own stakeholder and community engagement for a portfolio of renewable projects across their lifecycle, from development and construction through operations and decommissioning/repowering. Develop project-level engagement strategies, run stakeholder mapping and planning, and align activity to UK/national/regional policy to help secure planning permissions. Manage relationships with community, government, and industry stakeholders, represent the company at events and inquiries, and negotiate community benefit and investment agreements.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement project-level stakeholder engagement strategies from project inception onward, including stakeholder mapping, profiling, and engagement plan preparation.
•Design stakeholder plans to increase acceptance of development projects with planning authorities and align plans to UK, national, and regional policy.
•Plan and execute stakeholder events and interactions (e.g., public information days, public inquiries, community consultations), including promotional material and briefing notes.
•Build, sustain, and own relationships with community, government, and industry stakeholders across the project lifecycle; represent the organization with these groups.
•Develop, negotiate, and monitor community benefit agreements and community investment models, brokering between parties with conflicting priorities and supporting internal approvals.

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in the Renewables sector and the project lifecycle (development, construction, operation, decommissioning/repowering).

•Proven experience implementing stakeholder engagement strategies and advising/influencing project teams.
•Knowledge of key renewable stakeholder groups and how engagement supports positive project decision-making.
